My name is Riva Sazama and I am a fine artist based out of Fairbanks, Alaska. Welcome to CopperWorks!

Everything you see here is created using copper and patina. Patinas are various chemical formulas that react and oxidize the copper to produce the coloration on the metal. I find this to be an extremely exciting process with endless creative possibilities.

Nature and natural processes continue to inspire and inform my work, and living in interior Alaska constantly influences and drives the work that I produce.
